Story
The British Association of Urological Nurses is committed to promoting and maintaining the highest standards of patient care by advancing education in urological nursing for the benefit of people with urology disease and the community as a whole.
Mum's nursing career started in 1948 as the National Health Service began. Initially a specialist fever trained nurse she subsequently became Theatre Sister. Later she worked in A & E and spent a period as a health visitor. Throughout she encouraged all in their care of patient and in best nursing practice.
Mum died on 21st September 2018 at the age of 90. I am running for BAUN in recognition of her life long commitment to the National Health Service and nursing excellence.
