Vision Aid Overseas is dedicated to fighting poverty by transforming access to eyecare and spectacles in developing countries. 640million people (10% of the worlds population) are disabled or disadvantaged because they don't have access to eyecare. Poor eye sight  causes poverty by keeping children out of school, stopping mothers and fathers from working and lowering the incomes of individuals and families.

I am really excited to be one of a team of 5 volunteer  Opticians travelling to Zambia in November for Vision Aid Overseas. We will be carrying out many eye examinations and training students the skills to continue this work. Which will lead to a sustainable solution for the huge number of people requiring spectacles.

Below is examples of how your money can help 😀

£5 can provide an eye examination and a pair of glasses

£10 can pay for the raw materials needed to manufacture 3 pairs of glasses at a Vision Centre

£22 can pay for a day's training for an eye care worker - giving them the skills needed to provide a service in their community all year round.

Your donation enables children to go to school, mothers and fathers to feed their families and helps people escape poverty through the power of good sight.
