Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Here is what I am up to ...
The Challenge
Each and every day in 2014, I ran over 5km to total an accumulated distance
of over 2,014km ran throughout the year (which equates to over 42 marathons) - the same distance from Cirencester to Rome in Italy! To keep up to date with my progress please
either view below or www.facebook.com/2014runningchal for my running blog.
No matter what, come rain or shine, cold or snow, I ran at least 5.64km. The catch was running this distance each and every day, so I could not skip one day and make it up the next or later in the year. I had a number of people that run with me when they can, but I mainly do the runs each day on my lonesome either round the Cirencester area during my lunch hour, at a local gym or round my local street.
Although, I do not have specific routes, I try to make each day different in some way – I am already into my third pair of running shoes.
The Final Day
As the final checkpoint is in Rome, I am looking to run in Rome on the final day to finish the challenge off in true style in aid of the St. James’s Place Foundation. The St. James's Place Foundation work incredibly hard providing grants to charities that make a real difference through an incredible effort building the lives of young people not just in the UK.
