Story

St Patrick's Mission is based in the city of Bradford and is staffed by the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal a group of Catholic friars whose work was featured in the BBC One documentary: From Bronx to Bradford. They have been living with and serving the poor and homeless in the inner city of Bradford since 2005. St Patrick's Church in Bradford, which was completely refurbished and is now open to the public subject to Covid 19 legislation. It costs annually, £25,000 to run the Mission. Every year, as part of our fundraising St Patricks Mission Bradford organise the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. Our target for 2020 is £10k. In response to the nervousness and our respect and appreciation of locals in the area we have organised a short challenge, on 22nd August, to climb Whernside only (pprox 8.4 miles scaling a height of 2415 feet.) Starting at Ribblehead Viaduct and setting off up the mountain, to the Trigg point and down again to the Ribblehead Viaduct, with no refreshment breaks
