Story
There isn’t anyone out there whose life has not been impacted by cancer.
That’s why it’s really important to us (Tony and Maya) to give something back to those who do their best to fight it on a daily basis.
With the greatest intentions in the world - we’re going to do a sponsored skydive!
Neither of us are the biggest fan of heights but we want to really push ourselves into helping the fantastic Cancer Support Bradford and Airedale and what better than doing something absolutely terrifying…?
These guys are amazing and really deserve everything that you can offer! The more you donate, the better Cancer Support Bradford and Airedale will be able to support its users.
Being diagnosed with cancer or having a loved one with a diagnosis is an incredibly difficult and painful experience. The fear is almost incomprehensible - of loss, of the future, of survival and of pain. It’s easy to feel alone and hopeless when faced with these things yet Cancer Support Bradford and Airedale works incessantly to allay these fears, to provide comfort and practical support. The work they do is wonderful.
Cancer Support Bradford and Airedale provides practical and emotional support to those who have received a cancer diagnosis, as well as to those around them.
Established in 1988 as the Cancer Support Centre, the charity began life as a counselling service for those with cancer; they quickly realised that many people desperately needed a broader selection of help and advice - one the first dedicated welfare rights service for cancer patients was established. As time’s gone by, other support services had been developed including Transport, Information, Complementary Therapies, Group Support, Art & Craft and Exercise.
As a charity, funding is always needed - people always need help and advances and improvements can always be made to services. So, dig deep and donate some pennies and pounds!
