Story
What is the Four Peaks Challenge I hear you cry?
In May 2017 my trusty steed (bike) Rita and I will be setting off on another epic adventure. This time with the aim of climbing the highest peaks in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland and cycling between them.
The journey will begin at Carrauntoohill (1038m) in south west Ireland followed by Snowdon (1085m), Scafell Pike (978m) and finally Ben Nevis (1345m). Not to mention the hundreds of miles of cycling in between.
I have chosen to use this adventure to support local charity Young Bristol. Young Bristol run a network of Youth Clubs and extra curricular activities in some of Bristol's most challenging communities. They provide safe places where young people can build confidence, skills and self-esteem whilst having fun and improving their pathway to employment.
In 2014/15 I volunteered on their Instructor Training Scheme which helps young people who are at risk of becoming NEET gain the qualifications and support they need to begin a career in the outdoor industry. Having seen first hand the high quality services that they provide and impact they can have on young lives I know that your donations will go a long way to support the valuable work which they do.
That's not all!
Sponsoring me will also give you entry into an exclusive competition! Once you have made your donation just click on the link in the email to submit a guess for the total number of miles you think I will cycle during the challenge. The person with the nearest answer will win a mystery prize from the trip!
THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK :D
