On 22 September 2019 I will be competing in the Weymouth half Ironman which entails a 1.9km swim, 56mile cycle followed by a 13mile run. As this will be the furthest race I will have ever done I will be starting a six month training plan at the end of March to ensure I am ready for race day. I have chosen to fundraiser for Children On The edge as I have previously done charity work for them in the past and the work they do across the world for the most vulnerable children makes such a difference to their lives. £100 raised can help run a Lebanese tent school for a day for 100 Syrian refugee children. They make a difference to thousands of children living on the edge of their society and who have been driven from their homes by conflict, neglect, their own government and missed by large overseas agencies. Any donation however large or small is widely appreciated and will change the lives of children less fortunate.
