I've been training for this marathon on and off for a year and a half as it was postponed from April 2020.   I've completed half marathons before but this will be a big challenge for me. My longest distance so far is 16 miles so I'm hoping that the atmosphere on the streets of London will help me get to the finish line.   My knees are falling apart but I know how important it is to raise money for charity, especially at the moment.  

Missing People is a fantastic national charity (but based locally to me) that exists to help find missing people and ease the heartache experienced by those missing someone.

Someone is reported missing in the UK every 90 seconds. That’s nearly 100,000 adults and 70,000 children last year. The media pick up on a few horrific incidents but the majority of cases never get reported. Reasons for people disappearing are numerous but include children who are being exploited by criminal gangs, adults (and children) escaping abuse, adults who are in a mental health crisis and older people living with dementia.

Missing people provides adults and children free, confidential support, via its 24 hour helpline and advice by email, text and live chat. The charity also runs publicity campaigns to help families and police appeal and search for a missing person.
