On April 22nd 2018 I will be joining thousands of runners on the streets of London for my first ever marathon! My love for running began a couple of years ago when I discovered you can run a half marathon through Disneyland Paris, it was something I just had to do and I completed the run in both 2016 and 2017. Now it’s time to double the distance and do a full marathon.

I will be running to raise money for my local hospital. I cannot rate Poole Hospital enough, whenever myself or my family have needed emergency care they have been amazing. In fact it was after I had spent 5 weeks in the hospital as a patient back in 2008 that I decided I wanted a career change and went back to university to train to be a nurse. I now work on one of the wards where I was a patient and thoroughly enjoy it. We have a great team and always strive to provide our patients with high quality, patient centred care. In order for the hospital to provide patients with the best possible care new equipment is always needed so please support me in my personal challenge of running a marathon and donate to this fantastic cause.
