All families go through the heartache of losing their loved ones.  The pain is a price we have to pay for the love that we give and recieve.  It is not one that I would change.  The treatment that not only my dad but the family as a whole recieved whilst he was being cared for at the St John's Hospice on the Wirral, eased part of our journey. 

Disease is fickle and can throw up many unpleasant surprises.  Each event was dealt with quickly, with empathy and dignity by the staff and volunteers.  Through the difficulties, we were still able to create some fantastic memories with smiles and laughter wining over.
