Story

For those of you that know me, will be more than aware to how much I love and cherish my hair. It's true to say that I have been blessed with such locks.

I have, however, decided to shave my head in order to raise money for Lexden Springs Appeal, in honour of my nephew Alfie, who was diagnosed with non verbal autism, aged 3.

Although there are many different types of autism, which is why it's also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder, as no two sufferers are the same, autism effects many people and it's hugely important that we raise awareness.

Lexden Springs School care for Alfie and many other children, not only with autism, but with other complex conditions and severe learning difficulties. It's an amazing school who do so much for many children, but with such conditions, specialist equipment is required — and this comes at a much higher cost to your average school.

The Lexden Springs Appeal is a charity registered PTA that provides support to Lexden Springs School, Colchester, to deliver quality education and care to children with special needs.

By donating to the Just Giving page you will be helping to support children just like my nephew Alfie, who without the help of Lexden Springs School, would face many more obstacles than they should in life.

Many thanks for your support, it is very much appreciated.

Mike
