Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Five years ago, 25 ladies over 50, who had never run before, began training for the 2012 Edinburgh Marathon.
It was a demanding, arduous but interesting journey that inspired Stephanie to write 'Jog On the Musical'.
Earlier this year, eight of the Goalden Girls foolishly agreed to take part in another marathon.
Last weekend, Jog On showcased in London in an effort to attract industry professionals. It was funny, emotional and very 'Blackpool'. My mum would have loved it. Her birthday is 25th October ( day before the marathon) and therefore I have decided to raise money in her memory.
There has to be a reason for putting myself through this agony once again so.......I am raising money to provide a range of respite activities for our young carers during the February half term holiday. A small donation will make a big difference to the lives of our amazing young people.......and the hours of training will be worthwhile. :)
Thank you!
