In 2006 I ran my first marathon and vowed that I wouldn't run another. Last year's Yorkshire marathon was my 9th and was going to be my last but somehow I find that I've entered another one and on October 12th I'll be one of 7,000 runners taking on the classic 26.2 mile endurance distance around the streets of York and the lanes of East Yorkshire.

Since 2006 I've used 7 of my marathons to raise funds for Shelter. Thanks to the generosity of friends, family and colleagues from the Barcoding, Mobile Computing and EPoS industry £7,808 has been donated.Thanks so much for supporting Shelter and giving me much needed encouragement once more.
