Run Disneyland Paris - Fuelled by Pixie Dust!

Run Disneyland Paris · 24 September 2017
What's worse than an adult wearing a luminous-green, child's Tinkerbell costume? Me running in one!
In September, just 5 weeks away, I will be undertaking a 10km run and a half marathon in Disneyland Paris in aid of Dementia UK.
Impaired communication, memory loss and diminished cognitive ability are all affects of dementia. Two years ago my wonderful, beautiful Grandma was diagnosed with vascular dementia and has since been living in a care home. There's nothing more heartbreaking than seeing someone you love so much, decline so rapidly. For this reason, I am dedicating my runs to Dementia UK so that they can continue to do all the amazing work they do to support patients and their families in these horrible times.
To make the charity challenge more interesting, and to ensure you can spot me easily in the crowd, I'll be adding some Disney magic and sparkle to my running gear!
For the 10km challenge I'll be kitted out in the delightful, lime green Tinkerbell outfit you can see above and for the half marathon, I'll be following with the theme and wearing a green tutu.
With only 7 weeks of solid training, I've found it pretty tough. It's getting easier day by day and I'm looking forward to the challenge.
As if it wasn't challenging enough, I myself will be donating 50p every time I mention Disney between then and now! If you know me, this happens a lot so I might as well put a charitable fine behind it!
Anything you can donate to support my challenge and Dementia UK is greatly appreciated. Remember, if you pay tax, tick the Gift Aid box! Thank you.
