Marfan syndrome is a disorder of the body's connective tissue, affecting the eyes, heart and skeleton. As the sole charity in the UK dedicated to improving and saving the lives of those with the syndrome we provide personalised support, undertake research into improved treatments, & raise awareness.

Story

Hi i'm Molly and I'm 22 years old. Marfans affects 1 in 3,000 people and I happen to be one of those people. Due to my condition I had to have major surgeries on my heart and spine Marfans is not a very well known condition and growing up in the dark about it is very scary and hard! So, I am raising money for the Marfans Trust to help support reasearch to better peoples lives, like me.

I am also trying to raise awareness. Marfans changes how the body looks which can lead to troubles with self-image and teasing is common for people with Marfans. The Marfans trust have colaborated with anti-bullying charities to support people that are affected.

I will also donate any useable hair to the Little Princess Trust. The Little Princess Trust makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to illness or cancer treatments,

By shaving my head I want to say that everyone is beautfiul no matter what! Please help me spread the message.

The shave will be happening at Barber.josh.o.p barber shop & academy, Stourbridge at 3pm on Saturday 18th August. Feel free to come down and watch me squirm.

Thank you for your support ❤️
