We’re taking steps for ‘Small Steps’
Amrop UK have taken on the challenge of completing the Thames Path 100km Walk to raise money for the wonderful Small Steps charity. This high endurance walk will take us from Henley, we will stride past the wonderful sights of Windsor Castle and Eton, finally finishing in London City.
Training has started for our strong and determined team who are starting at Henley on the morning of Thursday 18th October and will walk continuously through the day and overnight, finishing in London on the morning of Friday 19th October. We aim to complete this within 24 hours.
Small Steps was founded in 1998 to provide specialist help and support to physically disabled children and their parents. This is a free service and as a registered charity, Small Steps do not receive any statutory funding and are solely dependent on grants, donations and fundraising in order to operate. At Small Steps, pre-school children work on all areas of their development, using the principles of conductive
education. Conductive Education is about active learning. It presents as a positive discipline, based on the strong belief that children with physical disabilities can learn new or different ways of dealing with everyday tasks through a greater knowledge of their own abilities. Children attending Small Steps sessions have cerebral palsy, other forms of motor impairment, syndromes or sensory impairment.
Please support us in our endeavours to raise much needed funding for Small Steps by donating to this very worthy cause.
Thank you in advance for all your support!
