We are embarking on yet another challenge, no, not a bake sale or a sports day race but a 10K run!
I am sure it has been a welcome sight for those in the playground to see the increase in lycra and sweat bands, but on a serious note our training has been ongoing for some time. Running has helped us form new friendships and we now regularly run
5K when only months ago we could not run any further than the cupcake shop! As a group we set ourselves a goal for 2019 to increase our distance and complete a 10K charity run, so here we are raising money for Special Stars Foundation in Hull.
This is a charity close to the heart of our group, as some members of our group have children with additional needs. So what better charity to raise money for.
Special Stars Foundation is a registered charity supporting people with disabilities and their families in Hull and East Yorkshire (registered charity number 1156237). They provide a diverse range of inclusive and accessible activities, with the
aim of reducing social isolation. In addition, they offer a range of support, training, therapy and advice services for parents and carers.
This is a wonderful charity working tirelessly to support local families so please dig deep and support us, thank you so much for your support.
