On Sunday I will be jumping in a dragon boat alongside a group of people who have all lost a partner. We are raising money for WAY, which provides vital support and advice for all those who’ve unfortunately found themselves eligible to join this club. Without the support of WAY and all those I’ve met since losing Andy, I really don’t know what I would have done without them!

I joined WAY(Widowed and Young) a few weeks after Giddings died. In the early days I desperately wanted to speak to others who had also lost a partner at an early age. Through this charity I have received lots of support and advice, but also made some great friends who just 'get it'. WAY is the club nobody wants to join, but once you're in, it provides invaluable support at a time when you're most vulnerable.
