My name is Saskia and I am doing the social action part of the NCS (National Citizens' Service) programme. Our team and I have agreed to fundraise for the charity Abbie's Love through cake sales, donations and other methods for part of our social action.

Abbie's Love is a charity that is very close to my heart as when I was 7 years old, I was diagnosed with epilepsy. Abbie's Love fitted me with a bed alarm which made sure that if I was to have a seizure in my sleep, my parents would know and could easily call emergency services such as an ambulance. Abbie's Love aims to raise awareness of Epilepsy, SUDEP (sudden unexpected death in epilepsy) and fit bed alarms for children with epilepsy. This is motivated after their 10 year old daughter, Abbie, had a seizure in her sleep and unfortunately passed away (SUDEP) in 2006.
