Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be traveling to Tanzania with an International NGO and UK registered charity. Whilst out there, I will be traveling to rural parts of Tanzania and helping with many projects. I will also be visiting the Children's Eco Village to spend a time with the orphans and see how our donations can help this unique project. Please see below to understand where your donation will be used:
Donations
• Working in the charity's Orphanage to help in their orphan project
• Working with the charity's Malaria Prevention programme, running awareness camps and handing out malaria nets
• Working in the Livelihood Project, enabling the local people to come out of poverty and start work (an example is the beekeeping project)
• Working with the Water Solutions Project, building water pumps, wells and other solutions to water scarcity including rainwater harvesting systems
Please note Islamic Help can accept Zakat donations through this JustGiving page - please specify it is a Zakat contribution on your donation. Thank you.
About Tanzania
Tanzania is a beautiful peaceful country in South-Eastern Africa. It is the home of Mount Kilimanjaro, the Serengeti National Park, and Zanzibar. It is one of the largest countries in Africa, but almost half of its 52 million population live in poverty. It has also suffered from 6 major droughts in the last 30 years.
