Larsens Pride was established in 2020 in memory of Larsen Roberts who died from a brain tumour in 2019. Larsens experience of brain surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy was more than any child should ever have to go through. During his treatment, he invented the Slideathon challenge to raise money for the hospital where he was treated. Now we want to keep his sliding legacy going and raise money for the 500 other children in the UK who will be diagnosed and treated for a brain tumour each year. Money raised from the slideathon will help us to provide the comfort of a beautiful Jellycat toy to under 12s and toward developing clinical resources to make treatment easier and less scary.
