We help families in the UK & Phillipines to escape the cycle of poverty.
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last year I was fortunate enough to visit the Philippines whilst on my backpacking trip. I volunteered during the Christmas period to support street children who despite living in the poorest of conditions and having some of the most horrific experiences, have the biggest smiles and loving hearts!
£500 can go a long way for Mercy in Action who are always trying to take more children off the streets of the Philippines to provide them with a safe place to simply be children. They provide them with food, accommodation and most importantly love. However they are limited on the number of children they can take and are looking to build another house.
I can promise you that the Bath Half Marathon will be a real challenge for me, I am definitely not a runner! (unless it's to the fridge for chocolate!). But I wanted to push my body and my mind and raise much needed funds for this amazing charity and the most adorable kids. Your money will be going to help some of the kindest children I have ever met!
So please give generously, these children do not deserve to live in poverty when they have so much potential! I'll be super grateful to anything you can give because I know it will change so many lives!
P.S if I manage to get to my target I will do the race in fancy dress so feel free to leave your idea with your donation! :)
Our UK projects, Petra, Action Pantry and Clothesline support families in need across the South West by providing accommodation, food, and clothes.
In the Philippines, we help street children to regain lost years by providing residential care, a schooling program and a drop-in centre.
