Story

In memory of our daughter NatalieJane Gray, we are raising funds for Strathcarron Hospice @ Home as they helped Natalie to have her last wish to stay at home with her family till the end.      See our Teams at                              www.justgiving.com/teams/NatalieGray

Natalie's Story: Natalie was a brave, outgoing, funny, selfless and amazing girl who sadly lost her 3 year battle with cancer on the 2nd May 2015 at just 20 years old with one of the biggest brain tumours medics have ever seen. She was a very popular girl who lived life to the full. She enjoyed horse riding, dancing, playing musical instruments, hanging out with her friends, playing darts and cooking.  She won the top of her year award every year at Bannockburn High Schoolfor cookery.  She ran for charity, took part in charity fun raising events, helped out at church Sunday schools and at the Riding School for the Disabled.

After Natalie's diagnosis she took party in many charity events including a sponsored run.  She kept upbeat throughout her treatment and never complained and when she was told she was going to die, she said to us “keep it happy”.  Her words and what she went though keep us going. Natalie will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her

A professionally written and recorded song (CD) called Heavenly Message by Lead Singer/Song Writter Lino G Rocha (and Helen Nicol) is available on Amazon and itunes.

A Book called Heavenly Message; My Journey to Natalie's Song (A psychic journey of life and loss and an inside view of working as a midwife and hearler). It has been published by Stellium Books, Chicago. It is available on Amazon Uk & US, WH Smith Store and will be sold in Waterstones soon. Plans are being made for it to be available in US book stores.

We are held a “Fling for Natalie” A party for families with family fun and refreshments on New Years Eve 2015 to mark what would have been Natalie’s 21stBirthday. We ended the party with Postcards to Heaven were sent to remember Natalie and other cherished loved ones at 18.15 hrs, the time Natalie was born and by other family and friends at the Bells. Thank you to everyone who helped with our fundraising and everyone who came.

Natalie's story has helped StrathcarronHospice @ Home to win the National Lottery Award in the Health Project. The story has been in the Stirling Observer and Daily Record and has been shown on TV on the National Lottery Award Stars 2015, hosted by Anton Du Beck recently when the staff from Strathcarron Hospice @ Home were given their award in London.
