Unfortunately I have never met anyone unaffected by this cruel disease be it themselves, friends, or family.

As a father of two daughters I couldn't think of anything worse.

Children should be able to go out and play with friends  and have a real childhood. But cancer has taken away that right from far too many children. The aim of this event is to raise money to enable these children to have the most normal life possible. This is done through funding specialist equipment such as wheelchairs or simply funding a day out to distract these children from their pain. Every day of their life is a fight.

I will be part of team from Shropshire Whitecollar Boxing Club based in Shrewsbury competing in a special Shrewsbury v Telford event to raise money for this cause. This Black Tie, 4 course, boxing dinner event will take place on Sunday 22nd November at the Whitehouse Hotel, Telford.  Tickets to the event are £40 including a 4 course meal - please contact me on XXXXXXXXX to reserve tickets - all support appreciated.

For my part I will honour your donation by completing 2 months of gruelling training to compete, boiling my weight down to 90 kilos, and going 'dry' for that period and forgoing my beloved Guinness until after the 22nd..
