I am one of the five BDSL athletes selected to be part of Team GB for the Special Olympics World Summer Games, which will be held in Abu Dhabi in March 2019.  BDSL, as our local sponsoring club, needs to raise funds for the all the costs involved for us to attend the games.

I am a member of the GB Basketball Squad.  I have been playing basketball since year 9 at school, when I chose it as an after-school club.  I really enjoy playing and continue to attend  BDSL basketball sessions now I have left school. I prefer to be a defender, jumping up and down to hinder the opposite team from scoring baskets.  I was part of the Yorkshire and Humber Basketball squad for the 2017 National Special Olympics.  We won a bronze medal.  I'd like to win another medal at the World Special Olympics next year!
