The 70 mile New Forest Sportive will be a challenge for me, even after the slog up Mt Ventoux, especially as my two sons, Rohan and Timir, will be riding far ahead - and I have just learnt there is a 25% hill climb at one point. However I was really keen to apply these efforts beyond Hampshire and raise funds to assist all those affected by the horrendous events in Syria, about which I am sure you are all aware.

I have chosen the Red Cross as the prefered charity for our efforts as they have strong local teams that deliver support directly and effectively for those most affected.
