My eldest son (aged 10) and I are fundraising for the Winter Warmth Appeal, which helps vulnerable older people survive the winter when faced with rising fuel costs and poor health. As part of this, I will be taking part in The Big Sleep 2015 , which is a charity sleep out night in Windermere, Cumbria, on 7th February 2015. Temperatures in recent years have reached lows of -11˚c (Feb 2012) at the site apparently and I will be braving the cold for a night with just a sleeping bag (a tent if it’s raining).
