Story

We are running the Great North Half Marathon to raise money and awareness for TFC (Throat Cancer Foundation) which is a great charity that can help and support patients, carers and loved ones, the foundation has access to the most up to date information available regarding their illness, available treatments and what to expect in recovery.

We have chosen this charity because a family member has been suffering from throat cancer over the past 18 months, thankfully they are recovering well from this serious illness, but because of this we would like to show some support to this meaningful charity and to raise awareness for this type of cancer, which has effected our family and many others.

Any donation will be greatly appreciated and will provide us with some much needed encouragement during our training and whilst we run the half marathon.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

About the charity

We are the only UK foundation who are dedicated and aim to improve throat cancer treatment processes, help to develop better cures, support both patients and medical professionals and educate more people on how to look after their throats to lessen their risk of developing this horrible cancer.
