Story

Lynette Smith, Neil's wife says:

"I would like to remember Neil and his great work for Mind in Harrow and Rethink Mental Illness. Please donate in his memory.

Neil was a very generous man - a gentle giant. He died too young and will be very much missed. I will miss him as a friend and loving husband. Neil loved to laugh and always had a smile and a joke to share.
However he was very serious about his charity work. Everyone at Harrow Mind and Rethink Mental Illness will miss Neil and his tireless work on behalf of people struggling to overcome mental health problems. He was Chair of  Mind in Harrow from 2009 and worked immensly hard to ensure the success of the charity.

Times are hard for mental health charities. Please help to ensure that Mind in Harrow continues its great work - which will be Neil's legacy.

Thankyou."

This year in his Chair’s report Neil noted the ongoing importance of the services provided by Mind in Harrow and showed his positive approach to this work:

“It is incumbent to state to our funders that the need for Mind still exists (if anything, it grows and grows) and we are still in place to do everything we can to empower change in people’s lives, when hope may be in short supply. Please continue to help us to help them………"

…” The future is ours. Let’s seize the day. Carpe diem!”

As Neil was also active in Rethink Mental Illness, some of the funds we raise will be given by Mind in Harrow to Rethink to continue the good work they are doing locally.
