Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Here's what I'll be hoping to raise money for, The Lexi Mace Brighter Future Fund...

On 15th December 2017 good friends of ours, Sophie and Andrew welcomed Lexi Mace in to the world.  The following day Lexi came home with her loving family, but later that night she became seriously unwell and returned to hospital.  Lexi suffered several cardiac arrests and defied the odds to be stabilised enough to be transferred to Great Ormond Street Hospital, but despite the best efforts of some of the greatest doctors in the world, Lexi tragically died of Sepsis on Sunday 17th December.

Sophie and Andrew hope to honour their daughters memory in a positive way, and so with the help of Great Ormond Street Hospital they have set up the Lexi Mace Brighter Future Fund and have set themselves a target of raising £39,320; Lexi lived for just 39 hours and 32 minutes. They hope to help the many families who pass through Great Ormond Street Hospital and hope to create a brighter future for some of the worlds sickest children.

So, what am I going to do to help......

On the 6th October 2018 I will be taking part in my third Spartan Obstacle Race of the year.  So far I have completed the Sprint race in Gloucestershire (5km and 20 obstacles) and the Super race in Kent (15km and 25 obstacles), and next up is The Windsor Beast race!  They don't call it the Beast for nothing, this will be by far the most gruelling race of them all, comprising of 22+km and 35 obstacles over hilly terrain.  My aim is to do all 3 races distances in one calendar year to earn the Trifecta medal.

What better way to help me get through, than to focus on the fact I can help, by raising money for the Lexi Mace Brighter Future Fund. I'd be most greatful for any donation, big or small, as we work towards raising the target figure of £39,320.
