with my Dad beating testicular cancer (then Lucky enough to have me!) and currently in remission from skin cancer, with numerous close friends, students parents/relatives and loved ones affected by cancer over the years I want to raise as much as I can in memory of those people but also to support the amazing work done by cancer charities.

An ex-rugby player, with no bike and no swimming goggles or wet suit, I decided it would be a good idea to follow the inspiration that is Jane Tomlinson’s footsteps, a true honour- I hope to do her proud

I truly did not realise what a commitment it would take, following getting phenomena after Christmas to back training hard for the last 6months 6 days a week (no beer or chocolate- honestly) over 100miles of swimming, nearly 1000miles of running and a sickening amount of miles cycling, I have 5 hard weeks left to go. 

As Head of Tomlinson House at Wetherby High School we have created a special house atmosphere with Jane’s values at our core. Students have been amazing in support, competing in mini tri events, raising money but also just in support. I want to finish my time at the school on a high and complete a real challenge and raise awareness and money for the cancer charities.
