It is incredibly sad that too many of us know someone or have been personally affected by the devastating effect cancer has on individuals and families. Typically, an adult family member, friend or colleague must suffer the burden of harsh treatments to fight this awful disease.

We all see the dramatic changes and suffering the treatments cause, but stop for a second and think what it must be like for a child? Your child, a family members child. I cannot imagine and never want to know what that must be like for the child or the parent of that child.

On the 2nd of October I will be running the London Marathon and am raising vital funds for an amazing Milton Keynes charity, the Henry Allen Trust. Dawn (Henrys mum) and the team do unbelievable work and provide critical support to children and their families dealing with childhood cancer.
