Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

We embark on the journey as part of the Alzheimer's Society of the University of East Anglia on October 3rd 2014. The aim of the trip is to climb and decent the three tallest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales within a 24 hour period... including travel time between each place! Not only is it a physically exhausting journey but also largely a test of teamwork, composure and keeping mentally sound throughout the summit and descents.

As someone who regularly likes to do challenging events for charity I found this to be a new and interesting challenge aiming to raise money for a worthy cause... "Dementia affects 800,000 people in the UK, a number that is likely to more than double by the year 2051. One in 3 people over the age of 65 will develop it and two thirds of them will be women." As a group we aim to raise upwards of £5000 this trip, roughly £300 per person to contribute towards treatment, research and creating a better understanding of Dementia as a disease.

Any and all support is more than welcome and donations are greatly appreciated. I shall be documenting the journey from start to finish via various mediums of social networking and will upload links to this page.

Many thanks for any and all your help!
