Purple Warriors was established to provide rehabilitation through sport for serving and retired members of HM Forces who now have a physical, psychological or neurological impairment. We use the sport of dragon boating to provide the challenging environment for our members. A typical dragon boat crew has 20 paddlers. Although Purple Warriors qualifies to paddle against other impaired crews, it prefers to race against unimpaired crews! In a dragon boat, no one wins or loses alone. It is the ultimate team sport and ideal for military personnel.

We have been invited to race in Hong Kong this June against other impaired crews as well as against some of the world's best unimpaired crews.  We will be one of around 150 teams racing over three days.  

We will be taking a full racing team, some registered carers, and two unimpaired support team.  Each person has to contribute £500 of their own money but there is a significant shortfall to be made up. This page is my attempt to erode some of that shortfall!
