I'm looking at losing 12 stone (168lbs) for my Sponsored Slim for Save The Children. :)

Back in July 2013 I decided that something had to be done to help my health because I suffer from Chronic Pain Disorders which have many challenging problems and now I am now registered as disabled. Some of the problems have resulted in me having poor mobility and pretty much house bound, thus gaining a lot of weight. So I decided to try and lose some weight and joined Slimming World, I knew this journey would be very challenging, but it has very positive propects. So the journey begins...

One evening whilst watching tv, (a few weeks after joining Slimming World), a Saved The Children commercial was shown. It was heart breaking seeing the very young children suffering with their very swollen tummies because of hunger. They was struggling to breath properly, because of the swelling pushing against their chest so their lungs couldn't inflate properly. No child should have to suffer like this. My tears began to flow, this is just so sad. :'(

These children got me thinking, that here is me chosing healthier foods to lose weight, yet these poor little mites don't even have a choice of what to eat. Anything is better than nothing, yet often nothing is what they get. So I decided that besides me becoming healthier, something more should come out of this slimming challenge, and so the Sponsored Slim was created to help children like those I saw on tv.
