Team story
Team Ballers consists of Noel Steadman, Ben Harris and Keith Pamment.
We all play wheelchair basketball for the SportsAble Rockets wheelchair basketball team.
As players of this team we are fully aware of the rising costs of equipment, admin and kit fees.
As a big part of his rehab after illness Noel has decided its time for a challenge and here it is, Ben is also looking for his annual challenge and doing this race for the second time, last year he had an amazing crash at the end.
Ben has come on board to support Noel and as Ben has also a visual impairment he will need a visual guide to avoid the dangers and tell him where to go. Keith Pamment also the head coach of the Rockets has agreed to support Ben and Noel in this challenge. Keith is a great guide for Ben and an extremely motivated man to help and support both Ben And Noel.
As a team we have decided to do the Npower Winter Wonder wheels race in racing wheelchairs, none of the team use these chairs and is completely alien for all 3, Ben has only ever done one race and none of them have had training in these chairs.
This is one challenge to come along an watch and support all 3 of these guys.
