Fundraising for OYT North

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am cycling round sailing clubs in the North East to raise awarenes of the RYA Push The Boat Out week. At the same time I am raising funds for the Ocean Youth Trust North to help disadvantaged youngsters experience sailing.

I am doing this over the weekend of 1-4 May (Friday to Monday). Total distance over 4 days is approx. 290 miles (89.5, 71.5, 65, 64) and I will be visiting Berwick SC, Coquet YC, CSBT, Newbiggin SC, Tynemouth SC, Royal Quays (Ocean Youth Trust), South Shields SC, Tees & Hartlepool YC, Scaling Dam SC, Teesdale SC, Derwent Reservoir SC, Kielder Water SC which takes me the length and breadth of the region.

Ocean Youth Trust North takes young people away from their everyday routine and inspires them to make positive changes to their lives through ‘Adventure under Sail’. We use sailing and the traditional practices of seafaring as tools for personal and social development. The Trust is the sole provider of challenging, residential sailing expeditions in the North of England for youth of all abilities and backgrounds. We partner with youth and educational organisations providing an opportunity for young people to achieve personal growth. The Trust is a member of the Association of Sail Training Organisations and the Institute for Outdoor Learning. It is a Royal Yachting Association Training Centre and approved to run The Duke of Edinburgh Award.
