Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Our little boy Oliver was diagnosed with HLH (hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis) in May 2012. Following a brave fight Oliver died at the Leicester Royal Infirmary aged two years and four months. He was our first son and big brother to Toby for six days.
Oliver was a happy little boy who was always looking for adventure with a cheeky smile on his face. He loved to be outside digging holes in the garden, looking for ladybirds, playing on the swings and jumping in muddy puddles. He also enjoyed camping holidays in a tent or a caravan.
Oliver loved Thomas the Tank Engine and spent many happy hours playing with his favourite trains and snuggled up under a blanket watching Thomas and Peppa Pig on the television. He especially enjoyed his visit to Nene Valley Railway where he got to see and ride on his favourite train.
Oliver also enjoyed reading stories, painting, cooking, helping his daddy at the allotment, pretending to drive his family’s cars and playing with his friends at The Rocking Horse Nursery. He was also fascinated by dustbin lorries and would often stand at the window to watch for them coming down the road so he could wave to the bin men.
Since Oliver's passing it has been a very hard time for all his friends and family. After careful considerations we decided to raise money for the HR Trust as they fund research into a cure for HLH. We feel that if our efforts can prevent at least one other family going through the pain we have suffered then it will be worth every penny.
