Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Roundabout (Registered Charity 297491) is a charity that is working across Greater London offering professionally facilitated dramatherapy sessions to a wide range of clients. Last year Roundabout celebrated it's 30th year and proudly remains the largest and most successful charity of its kind in the UK.
Roundabout’s aim is to improve mental health, and our motto is “Turning Lives Around”, and we do, through running dramatherapy projects with people of all ages and abilities across London including children with autism, vulnerable children and young people, adults with learning disabilities and older people with dementia.
We work with individuals and groups, using verbal and non-verbal methods, and a wide range of theatrical and dramatic techniques. Some of the issues that Roundabout helps clients to cope with are bereavement, depression, abuse, communication problems due to autism and low self-esteem.
Roundabout remains a not-for-profit organisation and heavily relies on fundraising to continue its practices with schools, public and private care organisations.
In order to raise funds for Roundabout, a team of 10+ are taking on the Three Peaks Challenge on July 9th. Starting at 4pm at Ben Nevis (1344m), once scaled we will then travel down to climb Scafell Pike (978m) in the Lake District (in the dark!), before finishing our challenge Snowdon (1085m) all in 24 hours.
Wish us luck and please donate!
