Omri Nevat is running a half marathon for Combat Stress

Royal Parks Half Marathon 2014 · 12 October 2014 ·
I was inspired to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October 2014 by an outstanding organization called Combat Stress, a mental health charity for ex-British Armed Forces personnel.
In Britain, my adopted home, a substantial proportion of military veterans suffer from psychological wounds or post-traumatic stress.
Combat Stress is seeing a rapid rise in men and women who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan seeking help. This makes up part of an average 12% rise in demand for the charity’s services year-on-year.
We - as a society - don't realise the magnitude of this issue: in 2012, more British soldiers and veterans committed suicide than died in combat.
I believe that when we send men and women to battle, we need to allocate resources to make sure that they can lead respectable lives upon their return.
I am funding all of the costs of running myself so your donations are going direct to Combat Stress.
Thanks
Omri
