I am always thinking of ways to raise money for a charity close to my heart. So far, I have organised foodie events, ran and our boys have climbed and jumped with Charlie. On an evening out in late 2016, I decided that an open water relay swim would be a good idea (a little alcohol may have been involved!). The response from family and friends was great (if shocked!), but there are now 11 of us (me - Natalie,Jocelyn, Zoe, Hazel, Jesse, Mark, Penny, Rachael, Steph, Rachel and Paul) training for this event (one mile each, we hope!). We are self-organising, and are so grateful to my hubby, Chris, and his diving club for their support with boats and all who will come on the day (Sat 26th August which will be sunny?!). Any donation is gratefully received for this small charity which is doing amazing things and hoping to continue to grow and spread awareness of the rare condition, Phelan-McDermid Syndrome.
