We support children and young people who to have a stoma.

Story

This is my mate Smokey and Donnas very brave beautiful granddaughter lola . From birth she has been in hospital every month for bowel operations. On October 15th 2020 they took her in for a colostomy which has totally changed her life. She was gifted a buttony bear before her op to help her cope with what was ahead of her. Learning how to look after her bag and change it. Shes proud of her bag now as it makes her special. We would like to raise as much money as we can to help other children through their stoma journey with their very own buttony bear. Thank you for your time reading lolas story xxxx

To try and raise £500 for this fantastic charity, myself Smokey and 10 others have decided to climb Helvellyn and possibly another mountain ( weather conditions depending) on the 16th October 2021,  i would be very greatfull of any donations, thanks again to everyone’s kind support

A Bear Named Buttony is a Scottish Charity providing support throughout the UK to children and young people who have a stoma. We donate Buttony, a cuddly friend, who has a stoma to children through a network of paediatric stoma nurses and direct through our FaceBook page. For Young Adults with a stoma we donate a wash bag full of non medical items to help them adapt to life with a stoma. Thanks so much for considering supporting our work. Together we can raise awareness and banish the 'poo' taboo!
