Fundraising for Magic Moments

Story

The Magic Moments children’s charity was set up in
1998 by Alick Smith, the Chairman of the UK’s largest independent estate agency Spicerhaart, and his wife Val.

Until recently known at the Spicerhaart Fantasy Charity Fund, the charity has
raised more than £1,000,000 over the years to support 12 children’s hospices
across the UK.

We’ve taken hundreds of seriously ill children and their families to Lapland to
see Santa and to Disneyland Paris to see Snow White and her friends at
Christmas. Sometimes families have been recently bereaved and they find the
support at this very difficult time absolutely invaluable.

Any additional funds in the charity pot are used to provide vital equipment,
electrical appliances, hoists to lift the children in and out of theirs beds or
baths, and toys for the children’s hospices, but with your support we can
always do more.

We are now widening our scope to help make more youngsters’ dreams come true.

We achieve this by organising magic moments, to make youngsters' dreams come true. We also donate money raised to children's hospices across the UK so they can buy essential equipment.
