We support disadvantaged 11-30 year olds to get their lives on track.

Story

We are raising much-needed funds for The Prince's Trust to help young people in Berkshire.

Between 14th & 27th September I will be undertaking the most arduous challenge of my life! Together with friends - Karen Slatford and Fiona Coughlan - I will be trekking the Ancient Inca Trail in Peru.

We will spend 5 days on "mini treks" trying to become acclimatised to the altitude, based from the remarkable city of Cusco which was the capital of the Inca Empire over 500 years ago. We will then spend 4 days and 3 nights trekking to the magnificent "Lost City" of Machu Picchu which was only discovered in 1911. The trek is tough - only 43km (26.6miles) long - but will involve climbing over 3,000 steps at altitudes of between 2,400m (9,000ft) and 4,198m (13,700ft) and coping with daytime temperatures of between 10-20C, falling to as low as 0C at night. It's also possible we will experience some frost or snow on some of the higher passes!

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Prince's Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you - making your sponsorship money work even harder for young people! So please sponsor us now! Many thanks for your support. Best wishes, Pam (13th September 05): ONE DAY TO GO UNTIL WE GO!!! We are so grateful for your donations and pledges - thank you all so very very much! But, please keep sponsoring us - the more we raise the more young people we can help! This site will still be open whilst we are in Peru so you can still donate whilst we are trekking!!!
