Matthew was diagnosed with catastrophic epilepsy in April 2012. He suffered seizures 24/7 and was unable to function as a 4 yr old boy. He lost the ability to feed himself, write his name, some days he was unable to walk. We tried every medicine possible but nothing improved his symptons. I heard about Matthew's Friends on line and went down to Surrey to one of their information days one Saturday. By the following Tuesday they had found me a dietician, specialist epilepsy nurse and neurologist and Matthew started the diet. After 3 months the seizures stopped and we are currently 7 months seizure free.

He is back to being a normal 6 yr old boy, full of life. He has caught back up at school and our family quality of life has drastically improved.
