With a young family and approaching the age of 44, I knew I had to get fit and become more healthy. So three years ago I started running and visiting the gym to improve my health and fitness. My efforts have paid off as I am now able to run the London Marathon representing DELTA - Deaf Education through Listening and Talking. 

I am really excited - it's a dream come true, I am thrilled that my progression into being healthier and fitter will allow me to generate funds for DELTA which is a wonderful charity that supports families with deaf babies, children, young people or the practitioners in health and education who work with them. The vast majority of deaf children can learn to listen and talk.  How wonderful is it that all parents of deaf children should be given this option.

I am very privileged to have been given this opportunity to take a place in the 2019 London Marathon and to be running in support of DELTA.
