Event: Walk the Wight 2017, on 14 May 2017
Earl Mountbatten Hospice's annual sponsored walk across the beautiful Isle of Wight countryside.

Story

We are walking the entire length of the Isle of Wight (26.5 miles for the younger generation and 14 for the elders!) to raise money for an incredible cause, Earl Mountbatten Hospice. James, a colleague and friend, and Barry, a close family friend, will also be walking and fundraising as part of our team!

Our grandpa and father recently passed away from Motor Neurone Disease, a cruel and debilitating disease which eventually leaves sufferers unable to move, speak or do anything for themselves.

During the year in which his health rapidly deteriorated, the hospice offered respite for our grandma, and gave genuine and attentive care to him in his last few months.

After experiencing the benefit of the Hospice's work, our family wants to give something back so that others can benefit from the amazing care that the hospice offers.
And ultimately we are walking in memory of our grandpa, father and father-in-law, who loved the Isle of Wight so much.

Please donate anything you can, thank you.
