We rescue and rehome animals in Cumbria to give animals a second chance in life

Story

In September I will be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge.  I'm hoping to raise money for the Wainwrights Animal Shelter in Cumbria, who have continued their superb work in helping animals in need during the exceptional circumstances that the pandemic presented.  I have self funded this challenge so 100% of your donations goes straight to the charity.

The National Three Peaks is fast-paced and physically challenging adventure, as we take on the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales. Considered one of Britain’s toughest outdoor challenges, the National 3 Peaks Challenge takes in the dizzy heights of Ben Nevis (1,344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m) and we have to do all this in 24 hours, where we will trek around 26 miles and ascend to a total height of almost 3,000m!

About the charity

We started our work back in 1972. Animal Rescue Cumbria has grown and these days is a well-established rescue which takes in and rehomes over 350 dogs and cats every year. We provide a secure and caring environment and help all our animals adapt and find permanent, loving new homes.
