As a midwife at Barnsley Hospital, I see all of the good work this hospital does. By taking part in the wing-walk, I can give something back to them as well as doing something that I have always wanted to do. Please help me to raise the target on my page, meaning not only can I actually do the wing-walk but it can also help to raise much needed funds to be spent to help the hospital and also the units in the hospital such as Tiny Hearts. 

The kind and generous donations from supporters have enabled Barnsley Hospital Charity to purchase things such as; extra sensory toys for children with learning difficulties, snugglies for newborns, premature babies as well as specialist training in nipple tattooing for women who have undergone breast surgery following breast cancer and specialist equipment that cannot be provided by NHS expenditure including the Bilisoft in neonatal care.

The charity also provides a number of specialised services, including cancer and surgical services, in conjunction with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.

Donations made to Barnsley Hospital Charity make a very real difference to thousands of patient’s lives each and every year, helping to reduce the everyday stresses and anxieties which may be associated with treatments and illnesses.
