My father suffered with dementia in the last few years of life. His loving wife Jenny - a qualified nurse, retired early to care for him.   Carers sacrifice their identity and can become socially isolated. These people are the heroes of society who need acknowledgement and support. They are giving their loved ones dignity, respect and excellent care day in and day out. Our family would like to support those who embark on this noble but difficult path. We do this as a tribute to my dad - who was a nurse and social worker supporting vulnerable people throughout his career. He believed education was the key to better care.
